Saturday Morning Cartoons: Happy Halloween

Saturday Morning Cartoons: Happy Halloween

With Halloween upon us, I thought that the theme of 'fear' would be appropriate for this week's Saturday Morning Cartoons. I've got a handful of scary/creepy cartoons followed by some videos that explain what fear is, why things are creepy or frightening. Hope you enjoy.

Saturday Morning Cartoons: Adventures in Time and Space

With all the hubbub on the internet about Back to the Future Day this past Wednesday, I collected some videos about time and time-travel. I also found a couple of films that talk about neutrinos, which ties nicely to yesterday's blog post. Buckle up and let's have some adventures in time and space Let's go! Let's go!

Neutrinos in a mine: SNOLAB and the Nobel Prize

Wednesday was October 21st, Alfred Nobel's birthday. In honour of the occasion and the recent announcements of the Nobel Prizes, I wanted to summarize some details surrounding the 2015 Nobel Prize for Physics which went to Dr. Takaaki Kajita and Dr. Arthur B. McDonald. The prize was awarded for their discoveries about the nature of sub-atomic particles called neutrinos. This  topic is particularly dear to me because, in 2013 I had to opportunity to visit SNOLAB where Dr. McDonald did his ground-breaking research.
